To join the Southampton Fire Department please complete the attached application form and return it to: Southampton Fire Department, P.O. Box 1435, Southampton NY 11969 or by faxing it to (631) 283-0211. The membership application can be found at the bottom of this page, just click on the link below. Southampton Volunteer Fire Department is currently only taking applications for firefighter positions. As a member you will receive expert training in your assigned duties. This will not only help you become a better Firefighter but also help you earn the credentials to pursue a rewarding career in the emergency service field.
It is not uncommon for Southampton Volunteers to use their training here as a stepping stone to a full time career in the Police, Fire, or Medical Emergency fields.

Qualification To Join
- You must be at least 18 years or older.
- Be in good health.
- You must have a valid driver's license.
- You must live or work within the boundaries of the Southampton Fire District. (Note: Southampton Fire Department covers approximately 28 square miles including Southampton Village, Shinnecock Hills and a percentage of Watermill and North Sea.
- You must pass a Department sanctioned medical exam.
- You must successfully pass a background check.
- You must be willing to respond to a percentage of total alarms, as well as trainings, meetings, and other company and department functions.

All files must be filled out in entirety submitted either in mail or dropped off to firehouse M-F 9 AM - 12 PM or 2 PM-4 PM
